GoToAGig.com has been created as an easy-to-remember web address for anyone interested in finding information on live music Gigs of all kinds in their geographical area. We are hoping that GoToAGig.com will become a catch-all site by individual musicians, bands, venues, booking agents, promoters, record labels and anyone else wishing to pass on Gig information and make their lives easier.
If you are running RADIO or PRINT ads & have several different web URLs, email addresses or phone numbers to get across to your potential audience in a 30 second spot or small ad space, why not consider using a phrase like... "Links to Tickets & Information at GoToAGig dot com"and having all of the shows listed right HERE.
We can easily link to Venues &/or artist sites, Ticketmaster, list email &/or phone contact info. It's an EASY web address to remember for the consumer and an easy process for YOU too.
While the site mainly concentrates on Gigs taking place on home turf in the great Province of Alberta, Canada, we do stretch out from there as demand may require, and definitely try to include the other Western Provinces when they are included in a performer's touring schedule.
As the site grows we plan to incorporate music & concert reviews (feel free to submit yours), contests, ticket & CD giveaways etc.
We also offer selected items of merchandise for sale.... Including releases by acts who are booked, presented and promoted by GoToAGig.com
Yes... that's something else that we do around here. GoToAGig.com is proud to have been responsible for organizing tours and individual dates for great roots music acts such as Gurf Morlix, Sam Baker, Mary Gauthier and Slaid Cleaves... and there WILL be others!
We're also open to your suggestions & ideas for this site, as well as hearing about Venues in your area that are not yet listed on the Links page, so be sure to email them to "The GoTo Guy". House Concert venue information is also welcome, but hosts should be willing to have at least their phone number &/or email address listed on the site.

BUT I do request that:
-You have at least 4 shows to list.
-You provide: DATE / LOCATION / VENUE / HOW &/OR WHERE TO GET TICKETS
-Most (if not all) take place in Western Canada.
-A link from YOUR site to www.gotoagig.com would be AWFULLY nice too.
